This Sunday begins the 30 days of love, honoring the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His commitment to love as a means of transformation connects meaningfully to our purpose and practice as UU’s. We also celebrate Interfaith Harmony in the month of January. All of these emphases give us opportunities to look at our differences and unique qualities and find harmony in the midst of the discord.
Impermanence: A Buddhist Perspective
Impermanence is the underlying reality of all existence. Given that all that appears will disappear, how might we live our lives? A Buddhist-influenced ethic both arises and is influenced by a deep understanding that in the end we will lose everything.
