Sunday begins the eight night celebration of Hanukkah in the Jewish tradition. It is a recognition of the miracle of light and the powerful symbol of hope and purpose. As UU’s, not only do we celebrate this Jewish holiday, but we are also drawn to the flame of our chalice. Chalica is a fairly new tradition that calls us to the purpose and power of our chalice and our principles. As UU’s, we are light!
