Speaker: Lydia Carnesale
Lydia Carnesale is a mother of 4 children and a doctoral candidate with USC, in the College of Education in Language and Literacy. She works for the SC Department of Education as a Multilingual Learning Engagement Coach, supporting ML families, children and educators in understanding best practice when engaging diverse language and cultures. Her research and work involves long-term advocacy for families and promoting teacher retention through weaving classroom and community.
The service will provide our community a chance to prepare for the coming Hispanic Heritage Month that begins on September 15 and examine ways that we can strengthen our connection to the wider community and embrace cultures.
