We will look at the story in the Christian Scriptures often called the “Temptations of Jesus.” This story provides a glimpse of the struggle that Jesus faced to conform to options available to him in the Jewish religion of his culture, and how he ultimately avoided the temptation to conform. He chose to carve his own path of spirituality and experienced the free and responsible search for truth and meaning.
