The Many Rivers that Feed the Flame

As we join others across the world in a celebration of Interfaith harmony week, we will focus on the image of our chalice, the symbol of Unitarian Universalism. We have become a home for so many spiritual paths, as we honor each individual’s quest for truth and meaning. The flame of our chalice is fueled by our openness and welcome, creating a space for all. We celebrate the human experience that we share, which gives rise to the metaphors that provide meaning for our lives.

Free to Be Me and You

June is Pride Month. It’s a month to recognize and accept this diverse community that is characterized by a shared culture, social movements, and a focus on individuality. An introductory discussion for the month begins with recognizing how people are different and why that’s okay. Each of us is born in a different time and place and has a different heredity and environment. The product of the choices made by those factors makes us who we are: Free to be you and me.
