In preparation for UUCC’s annual Share The Plate elections, we will hear from two local charities speaking about three of our values. In these times, our local charities are more important than ever. Speaking on September 7th are Matt Butler from the Harriet Hancock LGBT Center and Becky Morrison from Senior Resources (Meals On Wheels).
Harriet Hancock LGBT Center, located in the heart of Columbia is the hub of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender activity in the Midlands of South Carolina. Our facility offers a variety of resources including a free lending library, meeting spaces for LGBT-supportive groups, and a directory of LGBT-friendly businesses, organizations, and counselors while also serving as the headquarters for the South Carolina Pride Movement. It is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
Meals on Wheels delivers nutritious meals and a daily connection to homebound seniors and others who have difficulty preparing food for themselves
