Lulu Torres is a dreamer. She came to the US at age 4 and has experienced first hand the challenges and frustrations of having a “in limbo” immigration status. She has contributed to her community and to society as much as any US citizen, yes she does not have the same rights and benefits as her colleagues that graduated with her from high school. She has hopes of one day starting nursing school and become a registered nurse. She is optimistic that with the help of congress, she may be granted a permanent solution allowing her to earn her citizenship and achieve her goals. This country is everything she has ever known, it is her home and she is the future.
She will share her message with our congregation during our service.
