Credo vs. Creed: The Seven Principles as Theological Insights or On Becoming Sevenprincipalians

Are white UUs inherently racists? Dr. Campbell will address this issue by examining our seven principles. Are they a credo or a creed? Can we view them from the perspective of Marxist Leninist historical theism? What is the relevance of the principles for the struggle now going on in the UUA to address racism? Are we going toward a multiracial Unitarian Universalism for all our members or a multicultural Black Unitarian Universalism for some of our members?

Free to Be Me and You

June is Pride Month. It’s a month to recognize and accept this diverse community that is characterized by a shared culture, social movements, and a focus on individuality. An introductory discussion for the month begins with recognizing how people are different and why that’s okay. Each of us is born in a different time and place and has a different heredity and environment. The product of the choices made by those factors makes us who we are: Free to be you and me.
