October has been set aside as LGBT history month for the past fifteen years, and provides a chance to celebrate the history and the people who have been icons in the work for LGBT rights and equality. A school teacher in Missouri, in 1994, felt like we should set aside a month in the school year to celebrate and teach LGBT history. We will focus ourselves this Sunday on some of these icons and events, particularly the UU involvement in that history. You can learn more about this month-long event here.
