As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we will commemorate the life and work of Sylvia Mendez. She dedicated her life to the struggle for the rights of Mexican Americans. The borders we create impact how we see people and connect to people groups. We are prone to fear and bias when we allow the borders we have created to define how we see our world.
