    The Flower Communion is a long-standing tradition with Unitarian Universalists originally created in 1923 by Unitarian minister Norbert Capek of Prague, Czechoslovakia.  The Flower Ceremony was introduced to the United States by Rev. Maya Capek, Norbert’s widow.
