In preparation for UUCC’s annual Share The Plate elections, we will hear from two local charities speaking about three of our six values. In these times, our local charities are more important than ever.

Our speakers on August 31 are Calleen Soper from Transitions Homeless Center and Lizzy Van Harn from More Justice. Transitions is the Midlands’ largest homeless services center. Transitions provides shelter, meals, medical care, and job training to help people move from crisis to stability. More Justice is a coalition of congregations working together to address systemic problems in our community and hold local leaders accountable for creating a more just and equitable Midlands.
