We often see ourselves as “PigPens,” covered in “original sin,” but the Holy invites us to see the world and ourselves through its lens of Original Blessing and Love. We do that by, like Popeye, eating our “spiritual spinach” by doing practices — whether it’s meditation, prayer, yoga, or helping others — that open our hearts to ourselves and others.
