Fire in the Belly: The Power of Imbolc

Imbolc marks the hallway point of Winter, where we begin to plan for Spring and envision the rebirth.  The darkest days of Winter are behind us, and we move toward the light, the fire of what is new.  The author, Sam Keen, invites us to pay attention to that burning passion within us, passion that has the power to bring life, creativity, and transformation.  The fire in our belly is the greatest hope of bringing justice into our unjust culture.

Free to Be Me and You

June is Pride Month. It’s a month to recognize and accept this diverse community that is characterized by a shared culture, social movements, and a focus on individuality. An introductory discussion for the month begins with recognizing how people are different and why that’s okay. Each of us is born in a different time and place and has a different heredity and environment. The product of the choices made by those factors makes us who we are: Free to be you and me.
