May Peace Prevail on Earth
The dedication and reciting of languages will take place during our service on the International Day of Peace at 11:00am on Sunday, September 21, in the UUCC Sanctuary. A reception will follow.
This Peace Pole is a gift from the Social Action and Green Sanctuary Committees in recognition of the UUCC’s 75th anniversary, 1950-2025. The UUCC Peace Pole will be planted near the Woodrow Street sidewalk at a later date. On our grounds the Peace Pole will symbolize our congregation’s continuing commitment to work for Peace with Justice. In our neighborhood and city, the UUCC Peace Pole will become a visible reminder that world peace needs advocates everywhere to succeed. “Act Now for a Peaceful World” is the theme for the International Day of Peace.
