UUCC publicity for Pawlenciaga is sponsored by the Animal Ministry Committee. Blake Carlton (known to many of you as “Susan Robinson’s son”), who grew up attending UUCC and has been attending again for the past several months, after recently returning to the Columbia area, is organizing a Fashion-&-Dog Show featuring dogs from the Columbia Animal Services shelter. The idea is to promote local fashion design and models while also helping to find homes for shelter dogs.
Please purchase tickets to “Pawlenciaga,” the inaugural Larry Carlton Fashion-&-Dog Show! (Larry Carlton is Blake’s late uncle, who was an avid animal lover and who adopted stray dogs he found on the street. Blake wants to honor his uncle by continuing Larry’s legacy by supporting dog adoption.) Falling on the same day as UUCC’s annual Animal Blessing service, Reverend Steven Robinson will bless the shelter dogs after they strut their stuff down the runway.
So, support local fashion designers and models, adopt a dog, and/or contribute to Columbia Animal Services shelter from 5-9 pm on Sunday, October 5th, at the Lincoln St. Tunnel near Columbia’s Vista.
