CANstruction is back!!! CAN you imagine that on January 25, our clever children and youth will CONSTRUCT wondrous creations from the CANS we all contribute to the Harvest Hope Food Bank donation area by the windows in the Social Hall??!! Yes, we collect throughout the year, but from now until January 25 our goal is to stockpile at least 250 CANstruction materials (nonperishables: CANS, rice, pasta, peanut butter..no glass containers or expired food please). In November, Harvest Hope let us know that where they usually serve 200 families a day in their emergency food pantry in Columbia, that number doubled when Snap ended! Additionally, they served 600 families on their senior day in ONE DAY late that month!!After service on January 25, you CAN cast your vote for the classroom with the most creative CANstruction. CAN you spare a CAN every week from now until January 25 for students’ creative CANstruction and, more importantly, for needy people in the Columbia area?
