Speaker: Linda McLeod

Linda McLeod, along with her husband Richard McLeod, have been members of UUCC over 13 years. She has served as Chair of Social Action, Share the Plate, Kitchen, and Building and Grounds Committees and is currently the UUCC Memorial Service Coordinator. Linda was born near Seattle, WA, where she lived the first 36 years of her life before moving to Phoenix, AZ where she met Richard. Early in her career she was promoted to management positions but after ten years took off time to stay home with her two children honing her management skills as a volunteer in her children’s school, her church, and the community. She returned to the working world again in management in 1990 when she and Richard moved to his birthplace, Columbia, SC. In 1993 Linda became an employee of the State of South Carolina for the next thirteen years with most of her time spent in Law Enforcement Administration until her retirement in 2006. Linda and Richard have been married 38 years and have found great joy in traveling the world. Her travel has included all seven continents, all fifty states, and 87 foreign countries where she has broadened her appreciation for others as she experienced
many cultures, religions, and political systems.
