2022-2023 Board Goals

The mission of the UUCC is to nurture and respect each other in our spiritual growth and pursuit of meaning and to create a welcoming and engaging environment through which we work for positive change in the community and the world.

Board Goal: The UUCC Board of Trustees will strengthen our support and care for the congregation.

We will do this by:

Reactivating the Shared Ministry Committee
Implementing practices that demonstrate our gratitude to our members, friends and community
Emphasizing welcoming as an important element of membership
Promoting life-span growth and learning and opportunities for service for all ages
Creating opportunities for emerging leaders
Supporting Committees in coordination with one another and with the UUCC mission

Carita Barr, Member: Growing up in a Lutheran state-taxed church, I never was very religious. But 40 years ago, I heard about Unitarian Universalism through friends. I found a home here where this diverse religious community really works to better our world. Respect and honor for the “other” is the main ingredient in our cooperative efforts as a movement.

For much of our married life, we were without a church home, but felt our lives would be enriched if we could find a place where we were part of something greater than ourselves. The UUCC became that place. There, we’ve made great friends, enjoyed meaningful fellowship and found a sense of peace. It’s just what we were looking for.
