Dr. Joshua Cooper is a member of Jewish Voice for Peace, Advocacy and Justice Alliance, and United Campus Workers of South Carolina. He has been a Professor at USC and lived in the Columbia area for 18 years, bringing a socialist and humanistic Jewish perspective to organizing for human rights and dignity throughout his career.

 

Fayek Ismail‘s  family lived in a village near Jerusalem. In 1948, his family was forced to leave their village and migrated to Gaza were he was born. He had his basic education at the UNRWA schools, then  joined the Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Gaza. In 1998, he came to the US and became a US citizen in 2001
