Heartbreak Is How We Become Whole
Weaving poetry with the story of her spiritual journey, Rev. Ryu will reflect on the power of our shared UU faith to transform and even to save our lives.
Rev. Jennifer Ryu was ordained by the Unitarian Universalists in Williamsburg, Virginia, in 2006. She served that congregation for nearly 10 years before shifting to healthcare chaplaincy. She worked for hospitals in Charlotte and Charleston until March of this year. Jennifer is the affiliated community minister for the Unitarian Church in Charleston, VP of the Southeast Chapter of the UU Ministers Association, and she also runs a grief support group for people who have recently lost their spouses.
