Speaker: Jane Lawther
Jane Lawther enjoyed 43 years as a middle school counselor and English teacher. In her retirement she volunteered at River Springs Elementary School. In Mankato, MN, she participated in the Building Your Own Theology training for lay speakers in the UUA curriculum, THE SHARED PULPIT. Her sermons have been well received. She has studied the Individual Psychology of Alfred Adler for 50 years internationally and locally. She has found Adlerian Psychology to be quite compatible with the principles of Unitarian Universalism. Her training led her to a private practice in Montana where she spends the warmer months with the adventure she married. She and JP continue to delight in their discovery of the welcoming community at UUCC in 2016. They joyfully lend a hand as they can.
What are UUCC’s lemons? What are your lemons? What lemons does our planet/world throw at us? Is attitude really EVERYTHING as we face the lemon challenges of our lives? Come, think, reflect along with other UUCC’s in person and have a glass of lemonade.
Each of us views the world based on our life experiences. We have a choice in how we see things. U U’s are invited to list the positives they see in this Covid19 challenge. Directions for accessing Sunday services can be found in our eblasts. If you need assistance, contact PhilTurner2009@gmail.com.
Encouragement will be defined and refined in this talk. A valuable skill in communication and support of others, encouragement brings a smile to your face and warmth to your heart. Come, experience the power of ENCOURAGEMENT.
