Homework: Widening the Circle of Concern

That homework is to review the report, Widening the Circle of Concern (“WCC”), which was generated by the UUA’s Commission on Institutional Change and was presented to the General Assembly in June 2020. The UUA is publishing an annual plan for how it is following through on its commitment to implement the report. We have purchased a few copies of the report, which you may check out for a week any Sunday in the Social Hall or from Andrea during the week (just call her first at (803) 799-0845). Carita Barr, Member: Growing up in a Lutheran state-taxed church, I never was very religious. But 40 years ago, I heard about Unitarian Universalism through friends. I found a home here where this diverse religious community really works to better our world. Respect and honor for the “other” is the main ingredient in our cooperative efforts as a movement.
