Bollard Placement

Location of Security Grant Bollards at UUCC

The UUCC was awarded a grant to support several projects to enhance the security of the building. One of the major projects is to install approximately twenty-one 36” high, 12” diameter bollards.

There will be three sets of bollards:

Along patio outside of Social Hall
Outside of Main Entrance
Across sidewalk between Sanctuary and Library

The photos show the approximate location of the bollards (The design and construction material of the bollards actually installed is still to be determined.) The bollards will be installed in grassy areas with the exception of one in the walkway leading up to the main entrance (marked with an X in the photograph).

We were looking for a church where we felt accepted both intellectually and spiritually, a place where all people and religions were regarded equally without condemnation. Our search began at UUCC six years ago and we never had to look any further. We found our place here with a community of like-minded people and it became our second home, our second family.

For much of our married life, we were without a church home, but felt our lives would be enriched if we could find a place where we were part of something greater than ourselves. The UUCC became that place. There, we’ve made great friends, enjoyed meaningful fellowship and found a sense of peace. It’s just what we were looking for.
