Speaker: Rev. Jean Heriot

Rev. Dr. Jean Heriot (she/her) is a UU community minister and member of Aiken UU Church. She co-founded the SC UU Justice Alliance (SCUUA) with the Rev. Dr. Pippin Whitaker in 2021, and currently serves as the Director of Organizing and Training for SCUUJA. She grew up in SC, left for graduate school at UCLA where she earned her doctorate in cultural anthropology, and later earned a Master of Divinity at Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California. Heriot taught religion and anthropology at Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, Calf. and at Hastings College, Hastings, Neb. as a UU community minister. Now back in SC, she works for justice issues across the state and does oil painting classes for fun.
