A Winter Celebration

That most wonderful time of year is upon us and we are making plans for a very special “Winter Celebration” during our regular service time. CYRE has been working hard to assemble a good program that will address the season from various perspectives: Pagan, Jewish, Islamic, Christian, and even a bit of Kwanzaa. We hope you’ll join us!

For much of our married life, we were without a church home, but felt our lives would be enriched if we could find a place where we were part of something greater than ourselves. The UUCC became that place. There, we’ve made great friends, enjoyed meaningful fellowship and found a sense of peace. It’s just what we were looking for.

Carita Barr, Member: Growing up in a Lutheran state-taxed church, I never was very religious. But 40 years ago, I heard about Unitarian Universalism through friends. I found a home here where this diverse religious community really works to better our world. Respect and honor for the “other” is the main ingredient in our cooperative efforts as a movement.
