We welcome and affirm people of all abilities. UUCC has taken the following steps to assure that no one is excluded for full participation in the life of our congregation.

Mobility

Our sanctuary, social hall, library, restrooms, and religious education classrooms are fully accessible to those using wheelchairs or having limited mobility. There are four on-street handicapped parking spaces and two van-accessible spaces on the pad at the Heyward Street driveway.

Sight

Large print hymnals and Orders of Service are always available.  Please ask the greeter at the main entrance door for assistance. If you would like an orientation tour of the campus during the week, contact the church office to make arrangements.  Contact information can be found at the bottom of the Home Page.

Hearing

We offer hearing-assist devices during our services.  Please see one of the greeters before the service to get a headset.  During all services, meetings, and workshops, anyone wishing to speak from the audience is strongly encouraged to use the portable microphones so those who are hard of hearing are not excluded.

Special Needs Children

If you want your child to participate in the CYRE program and feel that they may require special accommodation due to learning disabilities or behavioral issues, please contact the Director of Religious Education in advance so the best possible arrangements can be made.

Service Animals

Service animals are welcome throughout the campus. The congregation is often reminded that these animals are not to be disturbed while on duty. If you have any questions not answered or concerns not addressed, please check the bottom of our Home Page for information to contact the church office to seek further information.
