Approval of the Agenda (VOTE)

The agenda was approved.

Approval of Minutes (VOTE)

Minutes of the Annual Meeting held May 29, 2022 were approved.

Receipt of Annual Reports (VOTE)

The annual reports received from standing committees were accepted.

President’s Report

Deb Matherly, President, presented an overview of the 2022/2023 year, noting the participation, contributions, leadership, flexibility, inventiveness, creativity, hard work, skills, willingness, and dedication of our tapestry of board members, Reverend Robinson and all our staff, committee chairs and members, ad hoc committees, musicians, other volunteers, members, friends and visitors; and expressing heartfelt appreciation to all.

Finance Committee Report Including Proposed Budget (VOTE)

Robin Scherer, Chair of the Finance Committee, presented the budget for 2023/2024, which was prepared and reviewed by the Finance Committee, reconciled with the bookkeeping system, unanimously approved by the Board, and accepted by Membership.

Leadership Development Committee Report — Election of Officers, Trustees, and Members of Leadership Development & Endowment Committees and Proposed Bylaws Amendment (VOTES)

No nominations from the floor were made. The following members were elected to the following positions, effective July 1, 2023:

Board of Trustees:

Proposed changes to the bylaws were accepted. Effective July 1, 2024 the Past-President will become a voting member of the board. Temporary adjustments in trustee terms of office will be complete beginning in 2026-2027. These changes do not affect the total number of voting members of the Board which will remain at nine (9).

Report of the ad hoc Committee on the Covenant (VOTE)

Official adoption of our Congregational Affirmation (noted below) as our Congregational Covenant was accepted.

Love is the doctrine of this congregation,
The quest for truth is its sacrament,
And service is its prayer.
To dwell together in peace,
To seek knowledge in freedom,
To serve others in community,
Thus do we covenant with one another.
